Tempest in the Wilderness Questions

1.How did Corn affect native society?
Corn was a staple food item for the Natives and was rich in their spiritual culture. Old native legends told of how corn saved them in their times of famine. Without it the natives would have died

2. Why was there such a difference between the Natives and the English? Who created the difference and why?
The Native and the English had morals that were almost complete polar opposites. Everything from the way they dressed to the way the treated their women ; the two cultures just clashed from the beginning. Either one of them didn't really create the difference single handedly ,but it was just they way things were when they came from different walks of life.

4. How were the Irish and the Natives alike?
4. The Irish and the Natives were both viewed as being "savages" to the English. According to the English; the Irish and the Natives dressed alike, had similar behaviors, and lived in similar type houses. To the English they were both viewed as the lowest class of the earth, even the poorest people had a social rank above  them.
